Pakistan bars citizens from visiting Syria

Foreign Office on Saturday said Pakistanis, especially Pakistani pilgrims avoid visiting Syria and those are already there, contact with embassy.
The FO said a helpline has also been established in Pakistani Embassy in Syria to help Pakistanis. The FO said the Pakistanis could contact the embassy through the helpline number 00963-11-6132694-5.
A large number of Pakistani pilgrims visit Islamic holy sites in Syria, which has been witnessing an uprising against Bashar –al-Assad’s dictatorial regime since last March.
Assad forces have killed more than 40,000 civilians, including children and women. International political experts say Assad’s days are numbered as rebels have now begun to strike his inner circle of regime.
A suicide bomber this week killed Assad’s brother-in-law and his defence minister in what appeared to be a major blow to his regime.
